What's in a name, Carlo y Elly?

When one puts themselves in The hands of Jehovah... one becomes a different person.
Sometimes one even comes out with a new name.

We've been living as much like the locals as possible. We live in a Panamanian house in a Panamanian neighborhood. We shop at the Panamanian markets and we enjoy talking to the local people.
But the change comes so subtly. I wash the clothes and hang them on the line.
We walk everywhere... the taxis don't even expect to pick us up anymore.
I make fresh fruit liquados and rest in my hammoca.
Carl cooks, I clean... it's seamless. And simple.

The local people seem to like us... but they cannot pronounce our names: Carl and Beth. So we introduce ourselves as Carlo y Elizabeth. But then I learned that the Panamanians shorten Elizabeth to Elly.
The kids in the Hall think it's a good idea. Elly.
So here we are... Carlo y Elly

Well, there's just no simple explanation here... It's really a long story. But Carlo is with Shawn and a local man named Fabio. Fabio is Kuna, however, he seems knowledgeable in much of Panamanian history.  He really likes to talk to us. He is also really funny and likes that Carlo plays along.
Carl is trying to pronounce Ngobere words.
